Jeff Lipman has been in the practice of law representing accident victims as well as those who have been victims of employment discrimination and civil right violations since 1989.  Jeff has also been extremely active in the area of family law where he serves on the Polk County Bar Association Family Law Committee.

In 2001, Jeff was appointed as a Polk County Magistrate Judge where he currently serves on a part-time basis.  Jeff has been on the Board of Directors of the Magistrate Judges Association since 2001 and serves as a lecturer and trainer for new and existing judges.  Jeff was elected President of the association in 2009.  Jeff authored the New Magistrate Judge's Manual and has contributed to the Iowa Judge's Manual.

Jeff has litigated cases throughout the State of Iowa in State and Federal trial courts.  Jeff has appeared before the Iowa Supreme Court, Iowa Court of Appeals, and has extensive experience arguing cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.  Jeff has also handled cases filed in federal courts located in Illinois, Colorado and New Mexico.

Jeff frequently speaks throughout the country on class action and bed bug litigation having presented in Des Moines, Miami, Buffalo, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, San Diego, San Jose, Davenport, Reno, Cedar Rapids, St. Louis, Chicago, Appleton, Milwaukee and Minneapolis.

Jeff is also scheduled to speak in San Fransisco, Tuscon, Atlanta, New Orleans, and Mishawaka, Indiana in upcoming months.

Jeff currently has class action cases pending on issues ranging from: bed bugs, hospital price discrimination, fair credit reporting act violations and warranty related matters in both state and federal courts.

Jeff was voted runner up for Best Lawyer in Des Moines by the Cityview publication in 2001.  Jeff also received an award from the Polk County Bar Association's Volunteer Lawyers Project for his contributions in assisting poor and low income families with pro bono legal services.

Jeff is also a member of The Iowa Barnstormers Owners Group.

Jeff has also been appointed as Co Chair of The Supreme Court's Small Claims Forms Advisory Committee.

Ted Marks has been in the practice of law for over 30 years where he has handled nearly 5,000 domestic relations (family law) cases.  Ted has extensive trial experience in person injury, civil rights and employment law.  In addition to Ted's family law and trial experience, he has served as a certified mediator for over 15 years.  Ted's vast experience with contested cases has proved him with the skills and know-how to assist parties to a dispute in settling their case.  Ted has been a favorite selection of many attorneys to mediate their disputes.  Ted has been Of Counsel to Lipman Law Firm since 2003.
